Come along and experience the hands-on process of shaping your own piece of New Zealand stone in our private home studio in Hanley's Farm, Queenstown, surrounded by spectacular mountain views.

With guidance every step of the way, our workshops are suitable for beginners; no previous carving experience is needed. It’s a chance to slow down, get creative and leave with a taonga you’ve made with your own hands.

In this 2-3 hour experience, you will learn the art of stone/ pounamu carving and create your own pendant from locally sourced South Island stone.

 

  • Suitable for beginners, no previous carving experience is needed

  • All carving tools & safety equipment provided

  • Choice of available South Island stone - Think our SSWC unique stones including Pounamu varieties (Greenstone - Nephrite jade, Bowenite & Serpentinite)
