A rich and varied stone, serpentinite is one of three pounamu stones used in traditional carving, and one of the most recognizable. A metamorphic stone formed from antigorite, lizardite and chrysotile, this wide mix of minerals produce a stone of immense complexity, and individual pieces can contain colours ranging from deep moss green to aquatic blue, with gold, orange, and brown highlights.

The first star Matariki is known as the mother of the eight stars in the constellation. Matariki is connected to health and wellbeing and is often viewed as a sign of good fortune or health to come in the following year. If the cluster and the Matariki star is bright and high in the sky, it is a signal of wellbeing, peace, and good luck for observers.

This beautiful rich-green / gold variety of Bowenite from Jackson bay and was found as a beach rock on the rugged Haast beaches of South Westland.

This gorgeous Toki has a magnificent Wavey style, a truly unique and one-off Taonga.

She has inclusions of gold, blue and red set on a deep bottle green base that has an amazing translucency when cut thin that light can shine through.
