This striking spotted Dalmatian Jasper was personally hand-collected by us from our beach on the rugged West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island.

Each piece carries its distinctive animal-like patterning - reminiscent of the markings found in nature, along with a deep sense of place, history, and connection to the whenua.

Sourced with care and intention, this stone reflects the wild beauty of the West Coast landscape, where river, mountain, and time shape every surface.

No two pieces are ever the same, making each one truly unique. From our hands to yours, it holds a story of family, land, and the journey from earth to adornment.

Jasper/Banded Jasper

An opaque stone with a matte finish, jasper is a variety of chalcedony that can appear in a number of colours, though it is most often red, brown or purple. We frequently work with a type of jasper known as dalmatian jasper due to its spotted appearance. A unique presentation of the stone, our jasper is collected from the creek on our family land and thus carries extra significance for us as carvers.

A healing stone, jasper is considered a powerful protection aid and one that confers grounding, stability and strength upon its wearer.
