Hand-carved from Douglas Creek Pounamu, a South Westland Serpentinite pyroxinite from deep in the Haast mountains. 

She has magnificent translucent green and black hues set in a smoky base stone with shimmers of gold pyrite inclusions, you can see the depth and layers when you stare into the stone.

Side note: Douglas stone is quite hard to capture on film as the light doesnt grab, these pieces are just so much more beautiful in real life :)\
