About Grossular Garnet
Grossular garnets are rarely dark in colour. they have distinct internal swirls (from diopside crystals) that pressent in shades of White, grey, yellow-green, shades of green, brown, pink, orange. Another variety, containing some water, is called hydrogrossular and was first identified at the Roding River near Nelson. It is also found on the beach near Orepuki in Southland.
Grossular Garnet is a form of Green Garnet and is believed to help in removing toxins from the body and in treating disorders of the heart and lungs. It is also said to help in cases of frigidity and can enhance our levels of fertility.
