An amazing Toki style of our Purple banded Jasper.
With Aubergine and creamy Amber tones, this stone is a very unique find on our South Island beaches. Banded Jaspers are formed with layering instead of veins like most other Jaspers. making them distinctive.
We collect our Jasper from along the West and East Coast beaches of the South Island. This design of the Toki is to signify Strength, courage and leadership in its carer.

An opaque stone with a matte finish, jasper is a variety of chalcedony that can appear in a number of colours, though it is most often red, brown or purple. We frequently work with a few types of beach asper known as Banded or Dalmatian jasper due to its spotted / striped appearance. A unique presentation of the stone, our jasper is collected from the creek on our family land and thus carries extra significance for us as carvers.
A healing stone, jasper is considered a powerful protection aid and one that confers grounding, stability and strength upon its wearer.
